Rising Edge is committed to protecting its clients, employees, and subcontractors from cyber threats. It is of critical importance to protect the systems used to collect, process, and maintain data as well as protect the data itself. This requires the participation and support of every Rising Edge user who interacts with the data and systems.

Rising Edge has developed an enterprise IT environment. Our virtual environment is both scalable and complete with several layers of redundancies to ensure ‘highly available’ operating systems – ensuring our ability to consistently access a system when needed. Rising Edge departments utilize commercial, integrated software systems to improve the consistency of our various business processes by leveraging data integration for reporting and scheduling.

To facilitate a mature physical and data security plan, Rising Edge has adopted the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) ‘Improving Critical Infrastructure Cybersecurity’ framework. To complement this framework, Rising Edge has incorporated the North American Electric Reliability Corporation “Critical Infrastructure Protection” (NERC CIP) standards. By utilizing a written information security program (WISP) derived by the NIST 800-53 standards, Rising Edge’s Cyber Security core framework reflects the NIST framework functional areas that are to ‘identify, protect, detect, respond, and recover’.

At Rising Edge, all employees are required to protect and ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data and systems, regardless of how its data is created, distributed, or stored. Rising Edge conducts business in a manner that integrates applicable elements of Rising Edge’s physical and data security plan into all areas of operations.
