IT HELPDESK ADMINISTRATOR 

Reporting to the IT Helpdesk Supervisor, the IT Helpdesk Administrator is responsible for providing expert Information Technology (IT) system support services across the organization. The IT Helpdesk Administrator is responsible for IT resource management, hardware installation and maintenance, troubleshooting and diagnosing network problems and making recommendations for improving company’s IT systems.

Responsibilities
  • Provide internal Information Technology (IT) support (server security, software installations and hardware maintenance) to all employees
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, identify server related problems, assist with workstation configurations, adding/deleting user accounts and password resets
  • Liaise with vendors and service providers to ensure efficient and cost-effective acquisition of technology purchases; oversee warranties and service agreements
  • Assist IT and Security Manager with capacity planning for network bandwidth, storage requirements, messaging, websites and other applications
  • Create and deliver business cases for technology equipment and assembly acquisitions
  • Create status reports as required; present findings to the IT Manager
  • Plan and provide end-user training as required. Provide assistance and training related to the use of computer hardware and software, printing, software installation, e-mail, and operating systems
  • Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, web content filtering management and resource optimization as required
  • Ensure all Windows servers meet current security requirements approved by the IT and Security Manager
  • Maintain an up-to-date list of all assigned assets including laptops, cell phones, cameras and desktop computers
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 1 to 2 years prior experience with providing workstation support is required
  • Related education in Computer Technology preferred
  • Certifications such as MCP, A+ preferred
  • Hands on experience of wiring and setting up work stations is required
  • Experience with SQL and SharePoint is preferred
