In 2015, the 15kV Feeder Cables that were powering the Suncor Strathcona Refinery plant were nearing their 50-year life expectancy. Rising Edge was contracted as part of a large capital project to complete the 15kV Cable Replacement, replacing half of the Switchgear in the Main Substation (which split the existing Switchgear Line Up at the Tie Breaker), and additional Switchgear Substation.
