Location of Project | Lakeland County, Alberta, Canada |
Project Complete Year | 2024 |
Project Scope |
A complete replacement of the 25kV bus required to restore bus redundancy and improve power supply redundancy to Primrose South, Primrose North, and Wolf Lake. The existing 25kV switchgear will be demolished in two stages, beginning with Bus A. A new building containing 25kV GIS and housing all associated Protection and Control equipment will be constructed as the replacement. The project is split into two phases. The first phase involves demolition of the 25kV “A” bus and installation of the new 25kV Gas Insulated switchgear (SWGR) building and transfer of the 25kV “A” bus loads to the new SWGR. The second phase involves demolition of the 25kV “B” bus and transfer of “B” bus loads to the new SWGR building. |
Rising Edge’s Scope of Work | Rising Edge was responsible for the demolition of the 25kV “A” bus and installation of the new 25kV Gas Insulated switchgear (SWGR) building and transferring of the 25kV “A” bus loads to the new SWGR. Additionally, completed the demolition of the 25kV “B” bus and transfer of “B” bus loads to the new SWGR building. |
