Project Scope | The CPV Stagecoach Solar project is an 80MWAC solar power facility located on approximately 600 acres of former agricultural land near Andersonville in Macon County, Georgia. Developed by Competitive Power Ventures (CPV), the project commenced construction in mid-2022. The facility utilizes over 180,000 bifacial solar panels mounted on single-axis trackers to optimize energy production, generating around 190,000 MWh annually—enough to power approximately 17,000 homes. This clean energy generation helps avoid nearly 80,000 tons of carbon dioxide emissions each year. |
Rising Edge’s Scope of Work | Rising Edge performed the full engineering, procurement, and construction for a greenfield 138kV substation which connected the solar farm to an existing interconnection switching station. This substation is designed to accept two (2) 34.5kV collection circuit’s aggregated output of 16MW, transform it to an output of 44kV and connect to a disconnect switch. |
Voltage | 138/34.5kV |
