Project Complete Year  February 2025 
Project Scope To support Eight (8) BESS projects under construction, our client needed to supply and deliver prefabricated control buildings for each project. With specific design and specifications, each building required to be outfitted with Protection & Control (P&C) and SCADA panels to support operational monitoring and management of the facility. The buildings were deployed to eight Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) facilities across Texas, including locations in Fort Stockton, Seguin, West Columbia, Sweeny, Texas City, Del Rio, and Corpus Christi. 
Rising Edge’s Scope of Work Rising Edge was responsible for the supply and delivery of eight (8) prefabricated controls buildings (14’x40’ in size). The buildings were outfitted with five (5) populated and wired P&C panels and one (1) SCADA panel – that were design, constructed, and testing by Rising Edge’s Panel Shop facility. More specifically:

  • Building Skid and Envelope consisting of Control Buildings with a size of 14’ wide and 40’ long x 11’ high
  • Structural Steel Skid that is 14’ wide x 40’ long skid; Beam perimeter frame with channel cross members; R30 spray foam insulation with belly pan; 1/4” checker plate surface with anti-slip paint; 8 each removable lift lugs 
  • The building was offloaded and installed at the final location by others 
  • Delivery was scheduled for 36 weeks for the first building with subsequent buildings delivered every 4 weeks after that.  
  • FAT Testing was performed at Rising Edge’s Panel Shop facility. 

All substation control enclosures and relays were delivered to all eight (8) Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) facilities.
