| Rising Edge’s Scope of Work | Rising Edge was responsible for the engineering, procurement, construction, installation, and commissioning of the new switch station, along with modifications to the existing 240kV transmission line 964L to create an in/out connection, and approximately 1.1km (0.67 miles) of underground fiber system. This scope included both the substation and telecommunication sections. Additional scopes were added to execute at multiple substation sites around Medicine Hat, activities included (but were not limited to) DC load study, protection upgrades, supply and install new relays, modify existing relays, supply and install of new P&C, SCADA, and telecom cabinets, supply and installation of telecom RTU, supply and installation of transformers, current transformers, live-tank breakers, etc. at six (6) other substation sites connected to this one. |
