The name Sohkwan was chosen deliberately; meaning power, energy, and connection, reflecting both the nature of the work ahead and the relationship between the two organizations behind it.
SOHKWAN Energy brings together Rising Edge’s technical expertise in high-voltage electrical infrastructure with Cowessess Ventures’ deep community roots and economic development leadership. The joint venture is focused on creating meaningful opportunities through collaboration; including economic participation, workforce development, and long-term community engagement while delivering the critical infrastructure North America’s energy transition depends on.
