As President of Rising Edge Group, Jason King leads the company’s continued growth across North America, with a focus on its people, partnerships, operational excellence, and delivering complex energy infrastructure. With decades of experience spanning engineering, project and program management, business operations, and executive leadership, Jason brings both technical expertise and a strategic business perspective to his role.
His leadership is focused on strengthening Rising Edge’s position within the energy infrastructure industry through sustainable growth, increased market presence, operational improvements, and a clear sense of company identity and purpose. At the heart of Jason’s leadership philosophy is a simple belief: Rising Edge’s greatest strength is its people. Employees, contractors, and partners. As the energy industry continues to evolve and demand grows, he believes having experienced, engaged teams who understand the work, support one another, and are invested in the outcome is what ultimately sets Rising Edge apart.
A Mechanical Engineering graduate of Memorial University of Newfoundland, Jason began his career with Newfoundland and Labrador Hydro. During more than 12 years with the organization, he progressed from technical and applied engineering roles into project and program management, developing a strong understanding of the energy industry from both an engineering and operational perspective.
Jason later joined Rising Edge as Division Manager for Atlantic Operations, where he helped grow the division by building strong relationships with major clients and establishing Rising Edge as a trusted and preferred contractor throughout Newfoundland and Labrador and Atlantic Canada. Since becoming President in late 2023, Jason has focused on expanding Rising Edge’s reach across Canada and the United States while continuing to strengthen the systems, capabilities, and culture behind that growth. Central to this is Rising Edge’s STRIDE core values: Safety, Teamwork, Responsibility, Integrity, Deliver and Excellence; and ensuring those values are reflected in how the company’s people work, lead, and deliver.
